Auchroisk 10 Year Old 2009 (cask 14018) - Provenance (Douglas Laing)

All the was from the Auchroisk Distillery comes a 10 year old single malt which was aged in a single refill hogshead cask. Said cask was laid down in April 2009 and allowed to rest until March 2020, when the whisky was bottled up by Douglas Laing for the Provenance series, with an outturn of just 146 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Softly oaky with a touch of forest floor to it, balanced by waves of honey and green apple.

    Palate

Plenty of vanilla notes of the palate, plus more warming oak spice. Subtly biscuity, too.

    Finish

Buttery baked goods, toffee, pear and peach.
