Released in 2014 to take the place of the Ardmore Traditional, the Legacy brings a lightly-peated, wood spice-led flavour profile to the table. At its core, the Ardmore Legacy is made with 80% peated and 20% unpeated malt.
It leans more on the savoury than the sweet side of things, with light barbecue char and earthy notes up-front. Sweet cinnamon, fresh honey and vanilla toffee waft up at points.
More charred, smoky notes, joined by drying oak, pear drops and subtle grassy touches. Give it a minute for citrus zest and expressive heather to appear.
A lasting peat smoke finish, with a little bit of honey'd barley for good measure.

Loved it. Smokey, peaty, yet mellow. The 'Covid 8' Golf group were treated at 10.30am this morning (Hole in 1 on Monday) and after completing our round. Even those, who don't normally like whisky loved this malt. Normally like the salty flavours of the islands, but this was delightful
Had a look on the previous comments and found this to be unfair at some points, you really have to be a single malt enthusiast and a flavor explorer, found this gem discounted (£20) amd thought to give it a shot To cut a long story short this is an amazingly well balanced whisky, coming from a great fan of The Balvenie and Glengoyne. Only for single malt fans, otherwise there is always Famous Grouse
Got this for £20 and I think that it is worth that all day long. Very smoky but I like that. A couple of drops of water in the glass, work wonders.
Disgusting horrible whisky, worst ever, even smells bad
Certainly not a mild tasting single malt however it does taste like tcp. Personally that's not the biggest issue, it's the overall taste, its really not nice at all, this is now probably my 1000th bottle of whisky tasted, it not the worst but I would strongly recommend diverting to something else
