Douglas Laing
Scotland
Single Malt
The first release in Douglas Laing's Clan Denny Chronicles series! This is a 10 year old Ardmore single malt, matured in a single refill barrel from July 2009 to July 2020, before being bottled up at 57.4% ABV. 277 bottles were release, with labels that references The Green Lady of Crathes Castle, a ghost story from the nearby 16th Century castle. Spooky stuff. The story, that is. The whisky isn't spooky. It's tasty.
Enjoyably smoky, with an oaky hint of cask char underneath the vegetal peat.
A juxtaposition of crispy bacon and tangy raspberry, along with a touch of lemon.
Earthy once again with cut grassy and burning peat.
