Ardmore 10yo Clan Denny Bottling Note

The first release in Douglas Laing's Clan Denny Chronicles series! This is a 10 year old Ardmore single malt, matured in a single refill barrel from July 2009 to July 2020, before being bottled up at 57.4% ABV. 277 bottles were release, with labels that references The Green Lady of Crathes Castle, a ghost story from the nearby 16th Century castle. Spooky stuff. The story, that is. The whisky isn't spooky. It's tasty.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Enjoyably smoky, with an oaky hint of cask char underneath the vegetal peat.

Palate: A juxtaposition of crispy bacon and tangy raspberry, along with a touch of lemon.

Finish: Earthy once again with cut grassy and burning peat.
