Single malt from Ardmore, independently bottled by those ever-fabulous Signatory folks. This one was distilled in October 2009 and matured in a pair of bourbon barrels that previous held Islay whisky. This imparts just a smidgen of coastal smoke to the spirit. It was bottled at 9 years old in March 2019 as part of the Un-Chillfiltered Collection.
Vanilla pod, apples and oranges, rock pools, a hint of leafy herbs.
Slightly bready on the palate, though still with plenty of vanilla in support.
Drying spices, grilled lemon and menthol.
