From the awesome Ardmore distillery comes this superb single malt, bottled from a single cask by Douglas Laing for the Old Particular collection. Matured in a refill hogshead for 21 years between November 1999 and June 2021, a total of 297 bottles were drawn from this cask.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Soft peat smoke, roasted malt, salted pretzels, honeyed nuts.
Palate
Oily, smoky barley balances zesty notes of orange and lemon peel with earthen vanilla softening spicy oak.
Finish
Peppery warmth, melted caramel with underlying smoked herbs, and lingering sweet peat.
