Ardmore 21 Year Old 1996 (cask 12196) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)
21 year old Ardmore single malt, independently bottled by the wonderful Douglas Laing for the Old Particular range. This was distilled in October 1996 and aged in a single refill hogshead until November 2017, when it was bottled with an outturn of 310 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Wood smoke and toasted rye bread, with a slight hint of waxy orange peel underneath.
Palate
Hot cooking spices followed by a cooling touch of spearmint. Rounded vanilla sweetness.
Finish
Slightly grassy, with continued peat smoke richness.
