Ardmore 2010 (bottled 2022) - Wilson & Morgan
Distilled at Ardmore in 2010, this single malt was matured in casks that previously held Islay whisky, bolstering the elegant smoke that balances the sweet malt at its core. In 2022, the casks were opened and the whisky was independently bottled by Wilson & Morgan.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Sweet and smoky with oily malt and buttery shortbread, a hint of fruit tea, apricot, and charred oak.
Palate
A rich tangle of peat smoke and vanilla fudge, with sticky toffee and baked apple pastry cushioning warming green peppercorns.
Finish
Silky butterscotch tackles the pepper, while drying bonfire smoke and burnt toffee remain.
