Ardmore 16 Year Old 2003 (cask 13505) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)
16 year old Ardmore single malt, independently bottled by the ever-fabulous Douglas Laing. This one began life back in March 2003, and was aged in a refill hogshead until August 2019, when it was bottled up for the Old Particular range. A release of 307 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Enjoyably smoky, with a hint of dried apricot sweetness in the background.
Palate
Brown sugar, seaweed, charred oak and waves of smoke.
Finish
Damp oak and dried fruit, and cooking spice warmth.
