Ardmore 10 Year Old 2009 (cask 13540) - Provenance (Douglas Laing)

Tasty Ardmore whisky, independently bottled by Douglas Laing. The Highland single malt was filled in to a single refill barrel in July 2009, and left to mature for a decade. A month after its 10th birthday in August 2019, the liquid was bottled at 46% ABV, with an outturn of 307 bottles for the Provenance series.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Gingersnap biscuits and dark chocolate, supported by lighter vanilla aromas.

Palate

Black pepper, bonfire smoke and cured meats, with some baking spice and honey in there too.

Finish

Some smoky ash, toffee chocolate and a pinch of salt.
