Seaweed & Aeons & Digging & Fire
&Whisky
The clever clogs at &Whisky had a bit of a blending bash, getting some of their favourite expressions and seeing how they paired. This combo certainly proved a success, splicing the rich, Islay peat and coastal breeze of Seaweed & Aeons & Digging & Fire 10 Year Old with the elegantly sweet notes of honeycomb and butterscotch found in the creamy grain whisky that is Butterscotch & Vanilla & Toast & A Generation 30 Year Old.
Gentle, meaty smoke, with toasted marshmallow, heather honey, and a touch of cinnamon.
Silky salted caramel, gentle peat, oaky spice, and barley sugar.
Earthy peat hangs around. Deliciously sweet and savoury.

So after trying the seaweed & aeons & digging & fire ten year old….which was a fantastic whisky I just had to try this 50/50 blend. My notes are: Nose: A light hit of smoke combined with gentle notes of honey and caramel. Palate: Smooth sherry sweetness along with a sudden but short and interesting oaky wood spice. Finish: The light hit of smoke returns along side a smooth and velvety buttery finish. This is a very enjoyable whisky and a whisky that I would definitely recommend.
Gentle mouth feel but taste is intense
