Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Juicy barley and ripe green fruit, with a touch of marmalade.

Palate: Still bright with tangy fruit, now rhubarb and lemon. Subtly grassy and herbal with basil and mint.

Finish: Vanilla pod sweetness sticks around.

Allt-á-Bhainne 27 Year Old 1992 (cask 16942) - Old Malt Cask (Hunter Laing) Reviews

Nice old-school Scotch that shows the distillate well

Nose: Old baking spice, caramel squares, yellow flowers (very subtle; not pungent), aloe vera. Lots of caramel. :)

Palate: Wood spice, sweet grassiness, very honeyed, malty, very reminiscent of sugar-coated cereal we loved as kids. Egg custard. A bit of warming heat is the only knock here.

Finish: Old baking spice (not volatile or pungent; the kind that's been in a jar for a decade), honey, caramel and fruit flan
