Allt-á-Bhainne 25 Year Old 1993 (cask 703) - The Cooper's Choice (The Vintage Malt Whisky Co.)
This 25 year old single malt began its life at Allt-á-Bhainne distillery in 1993, and it was then left to age in a single American oak cask. It was allowed to finish its maturation in a Sauternes cask before it was bottled in 2018 by The Vintage Malt Whisky Co. for the Cooper's Choice series. Only 285 bottles at 47% ABV.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Wonderfully fruity fresh apricots, sweet tropical fruit aromas with fragrant baking spices and a drizzle of floral honey.
Palate
Cinnamon pancakes with a good whack of melted butter and a handful of fresh fruit, followed by malt sweetness.
Finish
Stewed fruit with more baking spices on a warming and gentle finish.
