Sherry
From the Allt-á-Bhainne distillery comes a well-sherried single malt that was initially matured in hogshead casks before a six-month finishing period in a fresh sherry butt. The whisky was distilled in July 2000 and eventually bottled 20 years later in February 2021, with an outturn of 701 bottles, released for the Cask Strength Collection by Signatory.
Dense chocolate and rum-soaked raisin notes, with strawberry and digestive biscuit notes in support.
Brown bread with more strawberry jam. Walnuts, cocoa, nutmeg, and peppery oak.
Gooseberry and raspberry brightness, with mellowing hints of coffee and vanilla.
