Allt-á-Bhainne 16 Year Old 2000 (cask 11338) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)

It's an indie Allt-á-Bhainne, bottled by Douglas Laing as part of their Old Particular range. This was matured in a single Sherry cask for 16 years, from July 2000 to September 2016, before being bottled at 48.4% ABV with an outturn of just 273 bottles. A light but enjoyably Sherried single malt.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Fragrant barley with layers of chocolate sauce and raspberry coulis. A good whack of cinnamon heat.

Palate

Creamy and elegant with hints of vanilla, chocolate ice cream and juicy orange.

Finish

Medium length, with fresh citrus and rich Oloroso.
