For people who love rum and whisky, Aikan provides an interesting alternative. This spirit started life as a blended Scotch whisky aged for a minimum of 3 years in American oak casks. It's then transferred to Martinique for some tropical climate maturation for two to four years in aged rum casks. It was bottled at 43% ABV with its natural colour.
Oak spice, coconut, vanilla, citrus, marzipan, and orchard fruit.
Dark chocolate, cinnamon, red chilli earthiness, caramel, coffee, and some herbaceousness.
Long and drying with vanilla and cocoa.
