A single cask bottling of Aberlour single malt Scotch whisky, aged for 25 years in a refill hogshead. It was distilled back in October 1990 and left to mature for a quarter of a century until March 2016, when it was bottled by Hunter Laing for their Old & Rare Platinum range. 150 bottles were produced.
Caramel-filled chocolates, peanut brittle, barley.
Develop herbaceous, earthy elements, with more vanilla-rich sweetness.
A slight hint of fresh fruit appears on the finish.
