This Speyside single malt was distilled at Aberlour in May 1996, allowed to rest in a refill hogshead for a while - 21 years to be exact - before being bottled by Hunter Laing in April 2017 for the Old Malt Cask series. An outturn of only 243 bottles at 50% ABV.
Nose: Peaches and cream, vanilla custard and melted milk chocolate.
Palate: Creamy like the nose, with dried apricot and icing sugar.
Finish: Lengthy and dry, sweet dried fruit that lingers.
