Very smooth with sweet fruit and spice. Complex, long, with more fragrance and attractive honeyed notes developing as it opened. I like this a lot. Good value at the moment at £30.
Good texture and long finish. Too sweet though. May be good for new whiskey lovers. Feel I am little bit seasoned for this type of whiskey. Waste of money for me.
I'm struggling with this dram. Thinking back to when I was new to whisky I think this would be right up my street, however I fear I have bought this whisky too late and have moved on from the flavour profile of this whisky. For me, this is a easy drinker if not slightly bland with not much mouthfeel or finish to speak of. If your new to whisky then this is great value and won't overpower. If you've been around the block then something at higher abv might be the way forward. Aberlour...if this was at 46%abv then you might have yourself a fan boy... Can only hope.
After a quarter of a bottle and a few weeks sitting around its really improved.
Lack of finish, green apples on the nose, very delicate flavour, thin mouthfeel, might be better at 46%. Expected more. Hopefully the bottle develops a bit..
