16-year-old single malt from the fantastic Aberfeldy distillery, which has been operating in the foothills of Scotland's central Highlands since 1898. This expression is finished in oloroso sherry casks, imparting decadent layers of juicy sweetness, spiced fruitcake, and dark chocolate to the whisky.

Raisins and cinnamon at first, before moving on to butterscotch, caramel, and dried apple. A touch of floral malt, too.
Well-rounded and mellow, more apple at first, along with poached pear in dark chocolate sauce, soon joined by clementine segments and honey on toast.
A spark of ginger, waxy peels, silky oak char, and a whisper of smoke.

Very clever delicately flavoured, rich yet smooth dram! Highly recommend this excellent value malt. If there are any better at under £60 I have yet to try one, Aberfeldy can be proud of this edition...
Nice dram. Sweet on the nose but fruity notes come through more on taste. Very nice.
I was a beer drinker (hoegarden, leffe, duvel) and had scotch very occasionally until I tried Aberfeldy. Now I am having more Aberfeldy than beer!
Nose is pleasing without being outstanding all the taste of what you expect and no lingering after burn so all very pleasant Anyone looking at a good first try at a single malt should have this on their list
