Aberargie Inaugural Release
Aberargie Inaugural Release is the first single malt from the young Perthshire distillery! A true barley-to-bottle whisky, it's made from 52% Golden Promise and 48% Laureate barley grown in the distillery’s own fields, distilled on site, and matured in a precise 50:50 split of first-fill bourbon and sherry casks. Distilling began back in 2017, and with the Morrison family at the helm, drawing on five generations of whisky experience, expectations are understandably high. This is a considered, unhurried debut. Worth the wait? We think so.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Baked apple and golden puff pastry, followed by sultanas, prunes, and a drizzle of runny honey. Soft oak spice builds gently beneath.
Palate
Stewed orchard fruits, buttery pastry, and raisin sweetness from the sherry casks meet vanilla cream and toasted coconut from the bourbon wood.
Finish
Dried fruit and gentle baking spice, with a subtle herbal edge that keeps everything neatly in check.
