Blackwoods Botanical Vodka is distilled five times before it is infused with botanicals using bonification to give it a refined flavour profile. The four botanicals used are meadow sweet, sea pink, angelica and marsh marigold, which Blackwoods also use in their gins. This comes in their redesigned bottle that shows a rather windy scene inspired by the weather on the Shetland Isles. Those poor birds don't have anywhere to sit!
Soft and vegetal, with touches of mint leaf growing. Almost a little bit oak-y at points, surprisingly! White chocolate and blueberry sweetness develops later on.
Quite a creamy mouth-feel. Sweetness continues as it opens, with sugary biscuits and fresh lemongrass. Later on you'll find hints of sweet pea and angelica.
Slightly fruitier than palate, with apple and more blueberry. Pink peppercorn spiciness lasts.
Had this whilst in Glasgow what a delight to drink. I’ve tasted a lot of different Vodkas over the years and this ranks in my top 3
