VIVIR Tequila Añejo is made with double distilled 100% Blue Weber agave, harvested at around 12 years of age. The Tequila is then blended with local volcanic spring water and aged in bourbon casks for at least 18 months. VIVIR was founded by Navindh Grewal and Paul Hayes in the UK, who worked with the The Casa Maestri Distillery in the heart of Jalisco, Mexico, to create the spirit. A wonderfully rich sipping Tequila, coming from a range that was made to "change the way you think about Tequila".

Roasted agave, home-made salted caramel and BBQ char initially, then dried fruit, fresh herbs and dry oak spice. Wet stone minerality is present underneath among baked earth and a touch of peppery heat.
Vanilla fudge, cacao, orange rind and salted butter, with only hints of agave underneath. It’s still very herbal, mostly thyme, with a drop of peppermint oil in support.
Tropical fruit, more thyme and buttery vanilla.

This stuff has been like gold dust recently, which doesn’t surprise me as it’s the best tequila out there, in my opinion. Stock up now while you can, you won’t regret it!
I was very impressed by the Vivir blanco for all its genuine agave hit, but come on folks, you've got to ask yourselves where all that toffee apple caramel sweetness comes from in this anejo?! This is "modern tequila"- reducing the vegetal notes and the hard burn to widen the appeal with sweetness and smooth rides. OK, it works, but you have to wonder how they do it huh? (no more hints from me!). If you think it simply comes from the wooden barrels you need to try more anejos...
Love this tequila so smooth one of my favourites.
Incredible. Far more complex than anticipated. Creamy, delicate vegetal sweetness, warming roasted Agave & a slightly smokey finish. This can easily replace my favourite Whiskies. It's that good.
Tequila may get a bad rap until you try this! A surefire winner.
