This 100% agave reposado Tequila from Pancho Datos was rested for ten months in white oak barrels previously used to mature bourbon whiskey. The agave itself is allowed to age for at least six years, before being cooked for two-to-three days in a stone oven. Following that, the agave is fermented, and then it's over to the stills to be double distilled. You can expect plenty of vanilla and caramel notes here, imparted by the cask, as well as earthy agave spiciness running through. The name for this spirit comes from the work of the great historian and poet of the Mexican Revolution, Ricardo Grijalva de León. Pancho Datos Reposado was awarded a Gold Outstanding medal at the 2025 International Wine and Spirit Competition, scoring an incredible 98 points, one of the highest awards in the industry.

I love this tequila, I actually prefer it to the Plata which is saying something. It's got a wonderful rich flavour and so much character while holding true to a more classical tequila.

Smoooooth, this is some nice tequila. Previously my experience of tequila was a macho-endurance experience, focusing on how horribly drunk you could get by knocking back said beverage without disgracing your forefathers. I'm pleased to say this is a wonderful and palatable delight, to be enjoyed and appreciated for its high quality. I'm not a tequila drinker, but after drinking this, I'm sure I could be.
As someone who has been reintroduced to tequila with Pancho Datos Reposado after only ever having tequila slammers in clubs in my younger days, I think I'm now converted from a gin to a tequila drinker. It has a rich but smooth taste, not harsh at all. So far I've made Margaritas, tequila sunrise and a Paloma, and it's also fab with orange cordial. Absolutely delicious. It will definitely be one that is a regular in my drinks cabinet from now on. Would recommend 100%, both to tequila aficionados and tequila virgins! You won't regret it.
