From the Dad's Hat range of ryes produced in Pennsylvania comes a port wine finished expression. It's made with the same mashbill of their classic rye (80% rye, 15% malted barley and 5% malted rye), initially aged in charred new oak quarter casks for at least six months before being transferred over to casks which previously held port wine for a further three months. This finishing period adds a depth of fruity richness to the spicy rye.
