Gonzalez Byass Oloroso 30

Gonzalez Byass Matusalem is aged for more than thirty years and sweetened with the addition of a little Pedro Ximinez. This creates an intensely rich Oloroso.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Toffee, walnut, raisins and more dried fruit, slightly oily yet beguiling.

Palate The palate displays all the richness suggested by the nose; lots of dried fruit and PX sweetness, but it's also very structured with a very dry feel through the midpalate.

Finish The oaky dryness continues on the palate for a dry finish.

Overall This really is a very good Oloroso.

Reviews for Gonzalez Byass Matusalem Oloroso 30 Year Old (37.5cl)
Love it
I usually drink whisky, bought this and some rum to try out, I am not disappointed ;) . It is a very good sherry, as described on the page and in the reviews. Will be ordering more.

Amazing aroma the minute you open the bottle. It really pulls through all those rich smells onto the palate. An overall very high quality sherry!

Just awesome...
If you like tawny port you'll probably really like this. Smells of raising and toffee and tastes like dried fruits. After taste and of course the color let you know it has been aged.

Really, really good!

A wonderful experience
On opening the bottle you are surrounded by the aroma of dried fruits, that makes your mouth water. On pouring it is a delightful dark syrupy liquid that defies you to swirl it in the glass it's so thick. The flavour is massed dried fruit especially figs and is a sweet warming experience. It's the after taste that gets you, the beautiful treacle toffee flavours linger for a long time, daring you to have another sip. Amazing!
