Massively exciting sweet sherry alert. This comes from Bodegas Tradicion, one of the region's finest producers. It's made from Pedro Ximenez grapes which are dried in the sun to concentrate the sugars. The resulting wine is thick with sugar which is further concentrated by 20 years ageing in the Jerez. Sip this neat with puddings or blue cheese, pour over ice cream or use in a very fancy Old Fashioned with a sherry cask whisky.
Dried fruit, dates, walnuts, and molasses, incredibly sweet, rich and thick but with a orange peel freshness that makes it surprisingly drinkable.
