A light, refreshing sake from Japan's Akashi-Tai. To create it, the brewers macerate the delicious yuzu fruit in ginjo-grade sake, resulting in big ol' bundles of citrus awesomeness.
Citrus dominates the palate, with hints of sherbet lemons following it up. Great as an aperitif...
It's good stuff, VERY strong lemon hit, bold up front which is lovely then you get the bitterness and it fades into a hint of clementine as it disappears. Texture is thin but slightly cloudy on the tongue. I'd recommend it but £25 is quite steep.
Was very surprised strong lemon flavoured. But still very nice and refreshing. Will definitely buy more
Could be called ‘Citrussy McCitrus’ Best avoided if you don’t like a taste that really draws your cheeks in. I love it.
