Another ram has joined the Yorkshire Dales Distillery herd -the Intrepid Ram Golden Yorkshire Rum. Made from quadruple distilled Caribbean spirit, oak aged at Yorkshire Dales Distillery. The rum is 100% vapour infused with Yorkshire heather flowers and honey from local hives.
Strong, young oak spice, demerara sugar and maple syrup, subtle menthol notes melting into a long, velvety chocolate finish.

Sadly this just didn’t live up to yorkshired reputation of good value for taste and money ... I so was so disappointed . It was more like a basic rum with bits in. I had to drink this with coke in the end. I hope it gets better
Mmm, very different after a recommendation I tasted then looked at the tasting notes, very menthol touch of caramel? Yes but overpowered, I personally couldn’t get the chocolate, I was willing to give it a go but if your into “ golden rums” this won’t be for you doesn’t have the depth of Caribbean rums, and isn’t what you would expect.
