Drank neat, this rum tastes like you are drinking sweet burnt pineapple, with a weird smoky after taste. But, and this is a good but, the alcohol burn is minimal. However, in my opinion this rum is much more enjoyable as a long drink. When mixed with Coca-Cola, it still predominantly tastes of pineapple, but becomes lovely and sweet, and that dodgy after taste disappears. But EVEN better still, is using fizzy mango, or fizzy passion fruit, instead of coke for a change. With either one, this rum becomes effortless to drink and so refreshing, that it will make you believe you are drinking Lilt in the Caribbean!
