From the very same people in Cornwall behind the Tarquin's Gin range comes Twin Fin Spiced Golden Rum! This expression brings together pot-still rum from Jamaica and column-still rum from the Dominican Republic, which is combined with a spice mixture including vanilla and orange that's distilled in a flame-fired copper-pot still. To this, a touch of Pedro Ximénez sherry is added, and it's then allowed to rest over oak chips.
Clove-studded orange, guava, a touch of banana, very slightly grassy at points, molasses, soft oaky smoke, brandy snaps and gingerbread.
Was bought a bottle as a gift, it's absolutely awful, drink it neat it has an oily mouthfeel and what tastes like the harsh burn of raw unaged alcohol suddenly overwhelms your palate, genuinely unpleasant it's undrinkable. There are a lot better out there for less money.
Sorry not good. Love rum but this is not really drinkable even if diluted in a cocktail. None of my fiends will touch it.
It’s absolutely bloody awful. Somebody must have accidentally spilled a ton of vanilla essence into the mix. No mixer can mask the god awful flavour of this poor excuse for a spiced rum. Incredible that Tarquins let this disastrous rum out.
The toffee/banana flavour for me is not great! It has a taste and smell that I find quite vinegery which is odd. Not a rum ill be buying again unfortunately
A delicious golden Rum. I was bought this as a birthday present from my twins and it's a delightful rum. It is by nowhere near the best ever, but a tasty number that world great as a mixer
