Morvenna Spiced Rum

From The Cornish Distilling Co. comes Morvenna Spiced Rum, which was fermented, distilled and bottled on the brand's site on the coast of North Cornwall. The only use natural spices to give this spiced expression its distinct flavour profile, including lemongrass, apricot and saffron.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Baking spices, rich vanilla and coconut husk form a core from which delicate notes of saffron, apricot and lemongrass emerge.

Reviews for Morvenna Spiced Rum
Nail varnish remover
I was trying to place the weird, overpowering taste of this rum, then read the other reviews here and yeah, it's nail varnish remover! Very very odd. One to avoid.

Lovely and smooth
Just had a double after an excellent meal in Newlyn… fantastic end to be a meal!

Tastes like rotten fruit!
Probably the worst rum I have tried, awful nail varnish remover smell and taste, rough to drink with very unpleasant burn and lingering rotten fruit aftertaste

Nice but not my favourite
It’s a very good spiced rum but not quite to my taste. The thing with spiced rum is that they are very different so totally down to personal preference. I prefer a bit more vanilla so prefer Rumbullion ahead of this at the same price point. It’s got a bit more cinnamon and clove taste than vanilla but not the way Chairman’s reserve has. It’s kind of somewhere in between and just left me feeling like I wanted a bit more of something. I drink my rum neat so may be different with a mixer but at this price point you shouldn’t need a mixer and I think there’s probably better out there.

Amazing!
I love this! I’ve been a gin drinker for years but this had replaced the gin. Smooth and so tasty. Love it neat or with a ginger ale. Great to support local distillers too. Buy it!

Awesome stuff!
An exceptional Cornish Rum.
Taste is smooth with mellow vanilla and a warming spice. Hints of gorse, peach, and wood.

Wow
Agree with other reviews, this goes down far too well. I find myself tasting more than I mean to in an attempt to discern its notes. Was not expecting a Cornish rum to go straight into my list of favourites

Premium taste, goes down a little too well!
This one is worth it's price tag. Got a bottle as a gift for Christmas and it's sitting proudly on my shelf with nearly 60 others. Almost entered my top 5 too so it's a very good spiced rum. Subtle flavour but interesting and goes down extremely well. Tastes great neat or as a mixer.

Amazing fantastic taste
What an amazing rum, very subtle flavours. An interesting vanilla aroma on the nose with a slightly Asian aftertaste, probably the nicest rum I have tasted and better still it’s from Cornwall, my second home.
