Rum from Cornwall? Surely this is utter madness? Even in the warmest part of England it's much too chilly to grow sugar cane. Well, not only is English rum possible, it's actually downright traditional. In the past, cool climate rums would be made from imported molasses all over the British isles and Eastern seaboard of the United States, so Morvenna are reviving an centuries old industry. This example is made from Caribbean molasses, fermented, distilled and bottled at 40% in Cornwall.
