Spiced rum from St Lucia! Coffey and pot still rums are aged in ex-bourbon barrels before being blended and infused with local fruits and spices. Including the likes of cinnamon, clove, vanilla, allspice and orange peels, this is packed with tropical flavour.
Orange peels, Jaffa Cakes, and pomander balls. Dark chocolate, Jamaican ginger cake, and festive cinnamon biscuits, with warming anise, vanilla, and sweet wafts of caramel, and cola cubes.
$35.82 - $122.56
This has become my favourite spiced rum! It's got a strong distinct citrus smell and flavour, the spicing can be a little strong when taken neat, but it is exactly what I'm after when used with a mixer.
Decent enough, a warming orange flavour with notes of spice.
I ordered the Chairmans Reserve spiced to sample as I don't usually buy spiced. The Rum has great legs and after taste which surprisingly suited my palate but my niece got hold of it so I guess suits the younger taste. 8/10.
I’ve enjoyed good dark rums for more than 40 years - Chairman’s Reserve Spiced Original is such a reliable old friend. The balance of spices suits my tastebuds exactly, and the rum itself is perfectly smooth with a strong peppery kick. It’s fine just neat, but I like it too with ice cubes and squeeze half a lime into the mix.
This isn't "bad", but at best it's decent... I repeat, at best. I'm tasting notes of orange, but everything is overwhelmed by ginger and cinnamon. I feel like it's been over-spiced to hide a average rum, which just makes it worse. I cannot recommend this drink.
