This rum from St. Aubin in Mauritius is pot distilled from sugar cane juice and matured for at least six years in French oak, followed by an additional year in Cognac barrels. The result is a bright and complex sipper with plenty of oaken depth, layers of elegant caramel, and dried fruits.
Floral vanilla and mellow old oak open the way for layers of creamy caramel, hints of tropical fruit, and dried stone fruits, with a touch of nutmeg and exotic spice beneath.
