A pairing of vegetal, earthy Rhum Agricole from Mauritius, made by distilling sugar cane juice, with citric, herbal botanicals. The Agricole was infused was Amalfi lemons and redistilled to create a citrus rum distillate. The same was done with Blue Mountain eucalyptus from Australia and Uva Highland black tea (a Sri Lankan tea grown at high altitude). The mix was then rounded out with kina bark, Sarawak pepper and sarsaparilla root.
Rich and aromatic spice prickles through tart citrus and plenty of earthy, herbaceous notes. There's a hint of menthol underneath.
Delicious - not like any white rum I have tasted before. Usually I find white rum pretty uneventful except for when it is used in cocktails but this has changed my view on rum. Great even with just tonic water.
Really refreshing. Really different, never expected white rum to be like this. Had it with tonic and with lemonade and was great with both.
This is something new! Incredibly refreshing, the smell of lemon and the fresh kick of eucalyptus makes this my new fave summer serve, mixed with Fever Tree's Mediterranean Tonic water.
