Siren's Call Caribbean Spiced Rum is named in honour of those who were lured into the rocky shallows by the call of the singing creatures, who may or may not have looked just like the one on the front of the label. It takes Caribbean rum and blends it with ginger and other tropical spices from the islands.
A hefty kick of spicy ginger leads, alongside cinnamon and allspice with notes of dark chocolate, caramel and a hint of tropical fruit sweetness.
I got bought some for my birthday as a different spiced rum to try as I love sailor Jerry's rum. I popped the cork on this stuff with enthusiasm went for a sniff and smelt nothing but pure vodka like smell. Thought right give it the benefit of the doubt may have a bit more body to it after all the smell of it doesn't mean too much. I was wrong I put a quadruple measure in with my pepsi and couldn't taste any spices, ginger nothing just a light twang of how vodka tastes ....this is not rum spiced or otherwise ...I will avoid this at all cost
I am a a rum drinker especially spiced rum this is the worst I have ever tasted
The chap who said this rubbish smells like gin is quite right, too bad it doesn’t taste like gin too. The one and only 5 star reviewer is either a fool or he’s been paid to write that drivel, this stuff is totally without body, the mix of spices is very poor indeed and the alcohol hit is overwhelming. The overall impression is CHEAP.
Tastes as if made of cheap rum to which they forgot to add the spices. Sorry.
Absolutely awful stuff, no real flavour. Smelled and tasted of vodka. Even the cheapest and nastiest of "spiced rum" spirit drinks are more palatable. I would rather like nail polish from a tramps sandal.
