Siren's Call Caribbean Spiced Rum is named in honour of those who were lured into the rocky shallows by the call of the singing creatures, who may or may not have looked just like the one on the front of the label. It takes Caribbean rum and blends it with ginger and other tropical spices from the islands.
A hefty kick of spicy ginger leads, alongside cinnamon and allspice with notes of dark chocolate, caramel and a hint of tropical fruit sweetness.
Drinks very thin and tastes cheap, it almost makes Captain Morgan taste decent. It does indeed have a slight whiff of gin about it - the reviewer giving this five stars and calling it exceptional and other people idiots needs to visit an ear, nose and throat specialist.
Exceptional spiced rum by a long-shot! This has undertones of ginger with a flowery bouquet tempered by a light citrusy after taste. Spiced rum can be very heavy but this is more refreshing. Well worth trying despite the other idiot's commentary that it 'smells like gin!'
Smells like gin, tastes like petrol, no spice except some weird gin like botanicals. I have tried at least 15 different spiced rums and this is by far the worst.
