Description

Shack Super Spiced is made using a blend of aged rums produced in Barbados, Guatemala and Trinidad, and complemented by a selection of spices and fruits inspired by a Haitian recipe. Tasty rum, with a very handsome bottle, too.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Well-spiced (or should that be "super spiced"?), with hints of clove, cinnamon and cumin. Sweeter hints of candied pineapple and juicy prune develop. Slightly nutty at points with oily/oak-y walnut.

Sweeter than a sweet thing...

Sweeter hints? This is sweet like candy. My immediate thought was “It’s Bacardi and Coke, without the Coke!”. That said, it sips pleasantly enough.

This is the king of spiced rums

Wow. This is the finest spiced rum I've tasted. Was dubious about spending so much on a rum I don't know much about but i'm glad I did. There's over 50 spiced rums on my shelf and this one stands proud as the best. It's as warming as Rumbullion but with so many more flavours and depth. If you like a full bodied premium spiced rum then treat yourself to a bottle of this as I think it's gonna be a tough one to better. I'll be smashing a whole bottle of this on my birthday this summer. Delicious.
