Description

All the way from Martinique comes the Saint James VSOP rhum agricole, made with sugar cane juice and matured in oak to help develop its flavour profile. It maintains the bright, funky, grassy notes that rhum agricole is known for, while introducing mellowing elements of caramel, cinnamon, and honey, meaning this can be sipped neat as well as splashed into cocktails and mixed drinks.

Aroma of hay/grass comes through with clove/cinnamon. Light vanilla background hint of pepper on tongue and peach, not sweet. Strong finish, late hint banana. Confusing mix but drinkable. 7.5
