Named after the Peaky Blinders street gang from the later 19th and early 20th Century, this is a black spiced rum that has been blended with various spices to help accentuate the rum's flavour profile. As such, this expression features big ol' helpings of vanilla, clove and flamed orange peel notes.
Ground cinnamon and clove, with a touch of nutmeg underneath. Orange peel, earthy though sweet vanilla and a juicy hint of pineapple.
Amazing. A lot of black spiced rum can be over powered by the vanilla but with the notes of orange this is not too sweet.
Smooth down the throat,warming and gently spiced. A great shot at bedtime.
Very uninspiring flavour, I was hoping for a black spiced rum that would taste better than Kraken. It's not a horrible taste but for the price it lacks severely in the spice department. A certain supermarket has just introduced it's own black spiced rum at a fraction of the price and to be honest it tastes exactly the same as this one. If you're looking for a black spiced rum, grab yourself a bottle of Black Magic, it beats the rest hands down.
