Matured for three years, the Carta Blanca is the youngest rum from the Cuban producers, Ron Cubay. Made exclusively using Cuban molasses, it's a top quality rum for cocktails or even enjoyed neat.

Nose

Pepper spices rise from a fairly sweet initial nose of fresh, sugary toffee.

Palate

Black pepper on the palate balanced by a cooling layer of toffee.

Finish

Ground black pepper linger on the finish.

Sweet and smooth

Sweet authentic Cuban rum. I first sampled in a holiday resort in Varadero, so much smoother than expected. Still love it 11 years on
