Marvellous multi-column distilled rum from the Dominican Republic, matured for eight years in an ex-Maderia barrel between 2013 and 2021. That sentence alone ought to be enough to excite the rum fans amongst you! We were certainly excited to get our hands on the cask, and bottle this one up for our exclusive range of Master of Malt bottlings. A release of 272 bottles, and it's a real stunner.

Burnt sugar and dense molasses, honeyed dates, and sticky sultanas with roasted hazelnuts beneath.
Soft toffee, rich toasted oak, and char, a touch of leather, and silky butterscotch. Suggestions of cooked plantain nestle beneath, with gorgeous biscuity spice.
Treacly ginger cake, caramelised apples, some warming pepper, gloriously balanced right to the end.
Another none chill-filtered, no added colour Rum, again at cask strength (58 per cent). Just needs a little water, but not too much, to bring out the full flavour. I find it gets better when you warm the class in your hands. Kev Doncaster
