Another fantastic Velier bottling of well-matured rum from the Foursquare Distillery. Patrimonio was distilled back in 2004 enjoyed a double maturation, firstly ageing in ex-bourbon casks before being moved over to ex-sherry casks. It was bottled at barrel proof in February 2019, with 6,000 bottles produced.
Coconut and chocolate (Bounty bars, perhaps), dense sherry, smoke adding savoury balance, rye bread dipped in olive oil, cookie dough, pear drops and tobacco.
