The team from Discarded Spirits specialises is using ingredients that would otherwise go to waste to create lip-smacking spirits, like its Banana Peel Rum! It features a base of Caribbean rum which has been matured in whiskey casks, but then it's infused with banana peels for two weeks to impart a whole load of fruity, estery deliciousness. The banana peels come from a flavour house which uses the fruit, but not the peels, so they would normally not have a use. Discarded Spirits has given those peels a use, and the result is marvellous.

Interesting flavour on the pallet Bought it as a Bananaholic, a very flavorsome combination of good rum and what tasted like newly picked bananas so I was not dissapointed
Excellent if you like a sweet rum. Very intense Banana flavour. Just A little sweet for my palate, but still a great rum so hence it has to be 5* from me
