This 1999 vintage rum hails from Columbia's Dictador distillery, and was selected by master blender Hernan Parra. This expression spent its full 23 year maturation in an American oak cask.
Quince, green gauges, ripe kiwi and some hints of mango. Vanilla pods and freeze dried strawberry dipped in white chocolate.
Lovely and smooth, with a creamy overtone of white chocolate, backed with more mango from the nose, and a hint of old leather. Oak spices and some notes of toasted marshmallow.
The toasted marshmallow leads, with a subtle note of red cherry and cinnamon.
