Nose Freshly-laid asphalt, oak char and red chilli heat initially, then brown sugar, a hint of creamy vanilla and plenty of pickle-brine salinity. There’s an underlying meatiness to the nose, which is complemented by sweeter notes of roasted fruit, cinnamon and toffee.
Palate Rich molasses spice, caramel and heaps of banana pancakes, with hints of earthy smoke, chilli jam and sea salt throughout.
Finish A long, muscular finish balances spice and sweet notes well.
