Nose: Freshly-laid asphalt, oak char and red chilli heat initially, then brown sugar, a hint of creamy vanilla and plenty of pickle-brine salinity. There’s an underlying meatiness to the nose, which is complemented by sweeter notes of roasted fruit, cinnamon and toffee.
Palate: Rich molasses spice, caramel and heaps of banana pancakes, with hints of earthy smoke, chilli jam and sea salt throughout.
Finish: A long, muscular finish balances spice and sweet notes well.
