The Auld & the Bold series highlights distilling traditions from across the globe, and this Guyanese rum from Diamond Distillery showcases one of rum’s most distinctive surviving production methods: the legendary Versailles wooden pot still.
Distilled at Diamond Distillery in Guyana, this rum matured for 22 years before bottling at 57.4% ABV from cask #49. A total of 234 bottles were released.

Nose
Guava, underripe mango, vanilla pod, banana, teak wood, and tropical esters.
Palate
Oily and vibrant with white chocolate, canned pineapple, lime leaf, and green peppercorn.
Finish
Salted papaya, drying oak spice, and lingering tropical heat.
