A spiced rum created by the chaps behind The Rum & Crab Shack in St. Ives (which serves tasty seafood and top rum - sounds excellent to us). Dead Man's Fingers rum is made using a blend of Caribbean rums alongside a hearty helping of spices. When ordering, make sure to only ask for measurements in fingers like the cool people in films do. "Three fingers of Dead Man's Fingers please, barkeeper!"
Pineapple, Seville orange, dried raisins dusted with cinnamon and black pepper. A touch of creamy vanilla develops later on.
Bought this because the packaging stood out to me but the taste is Terrible it leaves an after taste of what I would describe as a burnt plastic taste in your mouth would not buy again
Deadset smells like a tin of Dulux paint, tastes like a mouthful of vanilla with a hint of turpentine and methyl ethyl and zero rum. Only drink when you're off your chops already
Really can't understand the high ratings for this on here. Easily the worst "rum" I've ever had the misfortune of tasting. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that there's some spirit in there, but I'll be damned if I can taste it through all the flavourings and sweetener. Not sure how I'm going to get through the bottle, maybe pour it on desserts and set fire to it. I enjoyed Dead Man’s Spiced in Coke with a fair whack of ice and don’t find it terrible by itself. Very sweet, in comparison to other rums like Plantation and the sweetness can sometimes be a little much. I wouldn’t advise this as a sipper, but definitely nice in a mix and a good next-step if you’re used to frequent flyers like Morgan.
Not normally a Rum drinker, but somebody recommended this to me when it first came out and was on offer. Lovely subtle but deep flavour, and very mellow. Superb over ice. Liked it so much I'm now on my 5th bottle!
