Captain Morgan Original Rum

Sorry about this...

We can't actually ship Captain Morgan Original Rum to the United States at the moment (although we're working hard to fix that).

In the meantime, our friends over at The Whisky Shop might be able to help you out.

Thank you for your support and understanding 🙂

Morgan Original Rum Bottling Note

Captain Morgan is a dark rum seen on back-bars around the world. This is made using a blend of Jamaican, Guyanese and Bajan rums. Great in loads of cocktails and mixed drinks - Captain & Cola is a classic for a reason.

Captain Morgan Original Rum Reviews

It's a no from Me!

It has an artificial or synthetic flavour and leaves an aftertaste of burnt caramel, not nice!

Hmm.. not so much...

I like my rums, but can't get on with this one, I find it pungent (not in an appealing way) and harsh on the palate. OK as a mixer. Jamaican rums tend to have that stronger flavour, I find, and there are some I like. But not this. YMMV...

Great tasting rum. Anyone who is snobbish about rum needs to remember it was intended for rough seafarers and not expensive lounges.

I'm a bit prejudiced about Rum since it is may favorite drink-especially Dark or Amber.

cheap and get what you pay for

Cannon fodder reviewer below is off his head, Morgans rum is pretty nasty and NOTHING like expensive rums, it is about level or one notch above Lambs rum which says a lot, Morgans has an after taste of burnt caramel and burnt wood so tell me an expensive rum that does this?

Put your hard earned £$£$£ to something decent like Flor de Caña or Appleton and do yourself a favour.

Smells like Bells

OK, first off I'm not a big drinker these days, once a month, if that. I used to over indulge in my teens and a bad night with Bells whiskey has left a deep scar in the memory. The moment I opened the bottle I knew I wasn't going to be drinking it. The smell fired old memories of Bells like you wouldn't believe. It probably tastes lovely but I wouldn't know, I just couldn't get past the smell.

Cannon fodder

It dose the job and taste nice . Mixing it with Coke ?? Are you insane?? I usually drink Pirates Grot rum . Captain Morgan original rum is a fantastic tasteful rum to drink (NEAT!!) I can't get my head around people who mix Coke with Rums or whiskeys!
Cheap never means a bad rum . People who slate Captain Morgan rum wouldn't no the difference if they thought it was an expensive rum. Massive rum lover here and I'd definitely recommend it.
Remember to drink sensibly.

Rum Enthusiast

For me still a good base mixer rum and certainly not a sipper.
